We are working hard to equip the church with tools and resources that will make church a great place for your husbands, future husbands, sons and friends.  Simple as that.  We don’t want a church dominated by men or male characteristics nor do we want to make church a “men’s club”.  Just a place where men can be developed and have their needs met. At NewDay we cater for men through our men’s breakfast and social meetings where we meet and discuss on a range of issues where men are empowered and counselled and where we provide prayer and support.

First let’s think statistics; Over the last 20 years 38% of believing men left the church.  In fact for men aged under 30, nearly 50% left in the same period of time.  Now that’s believing men deciding they don’t want to go to church anymore!  So we are facing a crisis before we even think about reaching men who aren’t yet believers. The decline is pretty terminal.  In 30 years time there could be zero men left in church communities in the UK. NewDay Ministries aim to stem the decline and provide outreach for all men.

As a pastor I am often concerned by the lack of young men in church. So men need a forum and a place to forge good strong friendships which over time will become open enough for conversation about stuff other than what they do for work or the football etc. 

NewDay Men’s ministry is built on confidentially openness and trust. NewDay men’s ministry is also about providing the environment in which christian men will  grow central to this is understanding the bible and applying its truth to our everyday choices and thinking. So at the heart of this ministry is the teaching and application, the telling and living, of the bible.

Getting men together at NewDay to read the bible and encourage practical application into our daily lives is a tremendously exciting ministry and will reap huge dividends in the life of the church. We aim to meet on a regular bases to ensure that we sustain the growth and development of all men.

NDM Men’s ministry is committed to being fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. God is our passion and growing in him our purpose. We help to build each other as loving and godly men empowered through the Holy Spirit to become genuine Christ-like servants in our home, our church, our career and our community.

Our desire is to develop a community of men dedicated to cultivating real relationships and spiritual maturity. Our aim is to be men of strong character and integrity who serve and support one another with intentional kingdom action and inclusive kingdom attitude.

Our pledge is to use our time, energy and resources to contact and meet the needs of men in the church and the wider community.

We help one another by:

•          Providing a place of genuine fellowship and friendship

•          Assessing and tending to need of the men of ND

•          Mentoring one another to live Christ-like lives

•          Enjoying breakfast meals together
